After the teeth have been extracted, it is normal to have some bleeding from the surgical site. You will be instructed to bite on a gauze pad for the next 30 minutes. This should stop your bleeding and initiate the process of forming a blood clot in that place. If it still bleeds, you will be instructed to bite another gauze pad again for the next 30 minutes. Not Dislodging the Blood Clot
